How could I combine my electronic drum set with my acoustic one?

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

I have an acoustic and electric drum set and I want to put them together into one set but the stand on the electric will not mix in comfortably with the acoustic. So what can I do?

man i just had the same problem

what i did was went and got some leads and some drum clamps…
now you dont need the electric stand..

connect lead from the module to the pads.. my set up was like

acoustic bass drum miked and triggered.
acoustic snare
electric high toms
acoustic floor toms
tune the other acoustc high toms really tight so they sound like timbalitos..
use acoustic cymbals
then use the electric cymbals for like effects and junk
oh and the electric snare as a "clap" sound

if you mic it properly and record with it it ownes

hope this helped

can the guitar hero world tour drum set be connected to the computer for an electronic drum set?

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

i was wondering if i could connect my guitar hero drum set to my computer. its the ps2 version but the drum set is usb and i record music. so i want use the drumset for recording i know there is a midi port on the set

The game manufacturers make it kind of hard to to do that right out of the box. I have suggested this numerous times so I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, get the Ion Audio Drum Rocker. It's way better for the game and real drumming. It will let you play way beyond the 1 year warranty that the guitar hero drum set has.

OSP DD502 Electronic Drum Set Kit Mesh Heads

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

In this video I show you how to replace the heads on my OSP DD502 electronic drumset with mesh heads.

I purchased them from this ebay auction. This guy was a great ebayer. Perfect transaction!

UPDATE: The creator of these mesh heads seems to have disappeared into thin air. I have sent him a few emails but have gotten no response. I can’t find him selling these things on ebay anywhere. So I don’t know what to tell you regarding purchasing these. The last email address I had for him was:

cms40@netzero.net

His name is Al. Feel free to try to find him as well.

Anyway, these mesh heads feel much better than the original heads and they are much quieter too. I recommend these heads to anyone who is considering purchasing one of these drumkits.

What is a good starter electronic drum set?

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

After fooling around on my school band’s drum set, i would like to get a kit of my own. My parents are weary of a normal “Loud” one, and I thought it might be a good idea to get a pad of electronic ones. I have hacked one of my friends rock band drum sets to work with PC. It wasn’t that good. I am currently looking at the Roland V drums Lite. What your opinion on what I should get?

roland v drums are the industry standard but they are very expensive, i suggest osp electronics drums, being an experienced drummer i decided to try the electronic era and after reserching alot of high dollar drums i found osp to be a inexpensive drum kit with good quality sound and performance. i used these drums for a few months professionally and loved them….you cant wrong for the price 399.00 to 599.00 with drum monitors..hope this helps

The Kill (GHWT Drums Expert 5 Stars) OMFG MISSED 4 NOTES

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

For more information about the video, click where it says “read more”

If you are wondering about the pedal, It is an actual pedal, hooked up to a Roland KD-8 kick pad. If you don’t know what that is, it’s a kick pad for a Roland V-drum Kit. No, this is not set off by a reed switch, even though there is a reed switch connected to the pedal to use for Rock Band. I have a 1/4 to 1/8 mono cable hooked straight from the KD-8 pad to the GHWT drum kit.

Q & A:

1. Q: Do you play real drums?
A: Yes, Rock Band actually got the ball rolling, and I’ve been playing for about 8-10 months

2. Q: What program do you edit your videos with?
A: Sony Vegas Pro 8.0

3. Q: What do you use to record your TV screen?
A: Dazzle Video Capture Device… Around 50-60 bucks at Staples

3: Q: Can you hook up your electronic drum kit straight to your GHWT Drum Kit via midi cable?
A: Yes, although, varying from kit to kit and from system to system, a double hit may occur, in the event of that, watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpkiy8aOZ_Y

4. Q: Why aren’t you using your electronic drums with GHWT?
A: Everything on my electronic drum kit is dual triggering when everything on the GHWT drum kit is solo triggering, so I can only use the bows of the crash and the Hi-Hat, and i can only use the head of the drums. Another confusing factor is that the GHWT drum kit is symmetrical when a regular drum kit is NOT.

5. Q: What is GHWT???
A: OMFGEH WAHT TEH FUX!!!!!11@!@!!!!1 To answer your question, Guitar Hero: World Tour

6. Q: Your a … get a life
A: To answer your non-question, if you are really willing to go find vids of ppl playing GHWT just to tell them that they are s and don’t have a life, then you must have no life, no mom, no friends, no dog, no grandma, no cat, and no life… oh, did i say no life twice?

7. Q: OMFG THAT WAS TEH SHIZZLE U ROCK!!@!!!1!!1!1!11@111
A: Why thank you, please subscribe to make sure you don’t miss anything! It’s the big yellow button above this description and across from my profile picture

Should I use an Ampeg bass amp for an electronic drum set?

Author: admin  //  Category: Uncategorized

I'm looking to get a amp for my new drum set. I also would like an amp for my bass. So I was wondering if I could just get an Ampeg BA115 and use it for both things. Or should I just get a keyboard amp and use it as a bass amp too. I know the best thing would be to buy both but I don't think the wife would let me. So i must pick one or the other.

The bass amp should work fine for both, but if I were you I would check out the Roland Kit Amps which they designed for use with their electronic kits. They would sound a lot better, as they would be better suited to the frequency of the drums.
Although the bass amp would work, you may run the risk of damaging the speaker which would cost you in the long run.
